Anders was born in Tønsberg, but now live in Oslo. After several years in the Norwegian national team he will now focus on dominating the FIS Marathon Cup with his brother for years to come and qualify for the World Cup and Olympic five-mile.
Favourite clothing:
Running Short
These shorts are airy even when you’re training hard. They fit well and I think they are stylish too.
Wasa Race Base layer
This, I use a lot. Perfect fit and terrific diversion of moisture and heat.
M. Everest Shell Jacket
A very functional jacket with many outstanding features. The triple-adjustable hood and the vents under the arms are just a few examples. It really shows that it has taken time to develop this near-perfect garment.
Last Sunday it was time for the fourth race in the Ski Classics 2012. Tartu Marathon in Estonia, 63 km along a slightly undulating and beautiful path. It’s a classic contest between the World Cup city Otepää and Elva.
Anders Aukland finished at fourth place with time 02:43:23.4. He is now at an overall fifth place so far in the tournament, while his team Team Xtra Personell are on top among the competing teams.
A close second in Marcialonga! 2012-01-30
The last three kilometers to the finish is one long uphill climb. When Jorgen Aukland, Anders Aukland and Jerry Ahrlin stumbled uphill climb to the finish in Cavalese, the other could not keep up. It looked to be a triple for the Norwegian team X-tra Personnel Ahrlin but finally had to leave for the Czech Stanislav Rezac and finished fourth. Congratulations!
Preparing for Marcialonga 2012-01-19
After the race in Jizerska I have been training at home for a few days. At the moment, there is a lot of snow and great weather conditions in Oslo. On January 20 I´ll go to Obertilliach in Austria to participate in Dolomittenlauf, 42 km classical style. Then I train in Toblach for a few days to prepare myself for the season´s highlight; Marcialonga! Most important right now is to stay healthy and get prepared for this upcoming race.

The season is finally here 2011-12-27
The season is here and I won a opening race in Norway ahead of Martin Johnsrud Sundy. 18th of December we were planning on going to La Scambeda, Livigno but it was cancelled because of lack of snow. I’m in great shape now and would have gladly competed in the WC in Rogla, but the NSF wanted skiers from unionteams and not cross-country teams. Now it’s time for hard training until the 8th of January when the World Cup begins.
The season is starting! 2011-11-11
In October we went to Val Senales, Italy for a training camp. It was a great moment to get altitude and snow training aswell. Now back in Scandinavia the season is approaching. We aim to start in Beitostølen, Norway or Bruksvallarna in Sweden. It depends on where the snow comes! I feel good about starting up the season, even though the important races won’t start until next year.
